A startup to change the future of travel

On September 8, the prestigious Forbes magazine, specialized in economic news, business and finance, published a detailed list of the 22 main Spanish startups with the potential to change the tourism business.

Different initiatives capable of renovating in a sector in which everything was believed invented, among which the innovative intelligent travel agency Bobelo Travel stands out.

Artificial Intelligence applied to travel planning

The Barcelona-based agency is a pioneer in the use of Artificial Intelligence to facilitate business travel planning through technology. To this end, they have implemented a system capable of generating personalized travel itineraries from the information extracted from the calendar in a fully automatic way, thus avoiding any type of interruptions to their clients.

Its main tool is AITA (Artificial Intelligent Travel Assistant), a powerful and agile virtual travel assistant, 120 times more efficient in its tasks than the average human management capacity. AITA connects with the user’s work calendar and automatically identifies professional appointments, meetings or events outside their city of residence to subsequently perform an intelligent search among more than 400 airlines and 170,000 hotels around the world at through different providers. Its refined algorithm is able to find the best option in the quality-price balance and, in less than a minute, send it to the user’s email.

Thus, just by registering and sharing the work calendar, the system sends a travel and accommodation proposal for each event outside the usual work city that requires it.

In addition, once the flight and accommodation have been booked, the virtual travel assistant records each of the chosen preferences. In this way, AITA will optimize its results, adjusting to the travel requirements of each user to offer personalized options.

AITA step by step

AITA is the only fully autonomous travel assistant that works without the need to activate a request. The process, step by step, is as follows:

When registering with a Google or Microsoft account, it is required to indicate the origin city where the user lives or works.

Once a meeting or event is scheduled on the calendar including address and start and end time, the system automatically determines if it is far enough away from the origin city. If so, look for a flight that, departing from a nearby airport, allows you to reach the address entered at the indicated start time, being able to detect which is the best airport to land at to optimize the routes.

In the same way, proceed for the return, collecting the end date of the event and looking for a return flight, with the particularity that, if there is a night between the arrival and departure days, the virtual travel assistant automatically searches for a hotel in the area of the event to stay overnight.

At the end of the process, in just a few minutes, the user receives a complete travel itinerary by email without having to intervene at any time.
