Gomasa is a company specialized in building maintenance. It offers a variety of services to its clients, such as preventive technical installations, work at height altitude or window sealing. The company works throughout the national territory, has more than 100 workers and more than 2000 clients.

As any other industrial services company, Gomasa faces several challenges regarding to information management. The volume of clients, the diversity of the jobs, the complexity of commercial monitoring, the financial management, among others. Therefore, the proper handling of data is crucial for processes optimization and cost savings.

In order to manage all this information, several proofs of concepts were carried out with multiple softwares (CRMs and ERPs). After some unsuccessful attempts, Gomasa asked TechsBCN to create a customized management system to cover all its business processes. Certainly, the primary objective was to adapt the system to the needs of the company and not the other way around.

The Solution: Customized Management System

Firstly, one of the most wanted features for the Gomasa’s customized management system (Fox) was being able to cross as much data as possible. From the customer acquisition phase to final billing. Any user should have been able to track any client data present in the system. Similarly, the software had to be able to adapt to changing needs and grow quickly. Naturally, another key requirement was the stability of the system. As it was meant to be the company’s core management system, it had to be as robust as possible.

With all these premises, TechsBCN developed the customized management system for Gomasa. Being an specialized development, the system covered all the client’s needs and, at the same time, allowed them to adapt to new requirements. In addition, the technology used (.NET and SQL Server) gave the system the robustness and agility required to meet the expectations of the Gomasa team.

Due to the client’s requirements, it was decided to use a simple design without colors, in order to avoid distractions. As a result, system users have all the information they need at their fingertips in an extremely agile way. Below is a screenshot of the solution:

Today, Gomasa actively uses Fox, its own customized management system. During the last years TechsBCN has developed several changes, allowing the business to evolve towards new horizons. The system scalability and its easy adaptability has allowed the implementation of new disruptive functionalities without major inconveniences.

Gomasa’s customized management system is a clear example of using new technologies to benefit the specific business of each company.
